Feeling that he had ruined the set for the rest of the band, Bono actually considered leaving the band after that event, until convinced otherwise, and instead Rolling Stones readers gave U2 the .Best Live Aid Performance. award and naturally he stayed.
  • The song .Bad. was written about the consequences of drug usage.
  • They filmed the video of .Where the streets have no name. live on top of a liquor store, Down town L.A, resulting in a gathering of over 10,000 fans to the streets.
  • During a concert in San Francisco, Bono spray painted .Rock N. Roll Stops the Traffic. on a statue. The mayor pressed charges on Bono for Graffiti, which were later on dropped. Some even believe that little event was the cause of the Mayor.s loss of popularity during the next election!

  • The ZooTv tour was inspired while Bono was watching a bombing during the MEA war on CNN news. As the pilot was commenting on how real it felt, U2 decided to show how the media desensitizes its viewers to the extent that they confuse reality with fiction.
  • The .Sweetest Thing. was meant as a late birthday gift to Bono.s wife.
  • The band put a .climbing band. on Bono after he fell off a scaffolding in 1987 and dislocated his shoulder.
